Duikvaker 2027 for the whole family: here's how young visitors experience the diving trade show

Duikvaker 2027 takes place on 5, 6 and 7 February 2027 at Expo Houten, and there is plenty to enjoy for younger visitors too. More and more parents are bringing their children along to the diving trade show. In 2027, for the first time, a dedicated series of talks for young divers will be added alongside the existing youth programme.

At the 2026 edition, more than 250 visitors were under the age of 16. That number is growing, and we are actively responding to it. The average visitor is 48 years old, but you can see more and more young people on the show floor: children coming along with their parents, snorkellers who have just started out, and teenagers earning their first certification.

What is there for them to do? Children can explore the exhibitor stands, watch films in the cinema room and listen to stories from divers who have visited the most beautiful places in the world. The new youth talks are designed specifically for younger visitors, with language and a pace that suits them.

For parents, it is a wonderful way to share your passion. You get to show your children what draws you to diving — and who knows, the spark might just catch. The sport needs new enthusiasts, and that often starts with a single moment of excitement on a day just like this one.
